Your decisionMove forward only when ready

You don’t have to decide everything at once.

Arrange initial care, then explore the funeral arrangements that are right for your family. Choosing a provider for temporary care does not require purchasing that provider’s funeral package.

Bring your loved one into care.

Kormem works with local removal and transportation services and participating funeral homes to coordinate transfer from a home, hospital, or other location once the required release and authorizations are in place.

Know who is caring for them.

The receiving facility, contact for updates, included refrigerated-care period, and any extension fees are explained before you agree. Embalming is not automatically included; any additional procedure is addressed separately.

Choose your funeral home.

You can select a participating funeral home or another provider willing to accept the transfer. Onward transportation requirements and charges are explained before you commit.

Where is care needed?

Availability depends on location, partner capacity, and required authorizations.

Arrange care. Compare options. Choose with confidence.

With initial care addressed, your family can focus on comparing services, understanding costs, and making decisions together.

01

If care is needed now, start with transportation and temporary refrigerated care. Review the provider, included period, and fees before agreeing.

See what is included—not just the final price.

What families should know.

Must I use the funeral home providing temporary care?+

No. Initial transportation and care are separate from your choice of funeral arrangements. You may choose another funeral home, subject to its acceptance of the transfer. Any onward transportation charges are explained before you agree.

How long does temporary care last?+

The included period depends on the provider and arrangement. Review the care period, extension options, daily fees, and any applicable deadlines before agreeing. Temporary care is not an unlimited holding service.

Is embalming included in immediate care?+

No. Initial care is designed around transportation and temporary refrigerated care. Any additional procedure, its cost, and required authorization are addressed separately with the provider.

Does KORMEM provide funeral services directly?+

Kormem coordinates through local transportation services and participating funeral homes. The receiving provider handles professional care; the funeral provider you select handles the final arrangements.

Am I required to choose one of the responding providers?+

No. Reviewing marketplace options does not obligate you to select a particular provider. Transaction terms are presented before you make a commitment.

Where can I learn about available savings?+

Visit Kormem Savings & Benefits to learn how eligible discounts would be presented, what to check before applying an offer, and whether a particular payment method is required.

Can relatives in different places participate?+

Yes. KORMEM’s planning room is designed so invited family members can privately review information, comment and confirm decisions from wherever they are.
